Best time to visit Naha

Tips

  • If a typhoon hits during your stay, shops, buses and the monorail may stop for a day. Stock up on food and water the day before.
  • From November to March, bring a light jacket for windy evenings.
  • Okinawa's midday sun is far stronger than in northern Europe or most of the US. Use high-SPF sunscreen and a rash guard at the beach.
