Good to know
- Konda Gobyoyama Kofun is held to be the tomb of Emperor Ojin. Walk round its moat, as you can't enter the mound.
- Konda Hachimangu stands right next to the tomb and keeps a gilt-bronze portable shrine that is a National Treasure.
- The Komagatani area in the east grows grapes and makes wine. Look for local wine and figs in season.
