Good to know
- Mount Takao is under an hour from Shinjuku on the Keio Line, and very busy on autumn weekends.
- Trail 1 is paved most of the way. A cable car and chairlift also go halfway up.
- Try tororo soba, buckwheat noodles with grated yam, a local speciality near the trailheads.
