- Ritsurin Garden is an early Edo-period daimyo stroll garden and a national Special Place of Scenic Beauty. Allow at least two hours.
- Ferries from Takamatsu Port reach Naoshima, the art island, in about an hour.
- Yashima is a flat-topped lava plateau where the Battle of Yashima was fought in 1185. The lookouts face the city and the Inland Sea.
